Bring a large pot of cold water to a boil over high heat. Add some of the dumplings to the pot in accordance with its size, and stir them around gently with a ladle so that they don't stick together or stick to the bottom. When the water boils again, add 1/2 cup of cold water to stop the boiling, then bring back to a boil. Add more cold water and bring to a boil a third time. The dumplings will be done when they float to the surface. Use a strainer to remove a dumplings from the pot. Press it with a finger, it is well-done if it swells.
